A big thank you to everyone who came out to our year end show, the IN-House Experience. Our goal was to bring a cozy and interactive experience for our audience with a small venue as well as including snacks, great music and a social feel to the night. It was incredible to watch all our members grow through out the year with new knowledge and applying to their various dance styles and talents. Thanks to our amazing staff, JP Tarlit, Natasha Gorrie, Amie Hasegawa, Tony Giroux, we had an incredible year. We are very much looking forward to our next coming year and to constantly raise the bar. The IN-House Experience.

We had a great time performing Amie Hasegawa & JP Tarlits pieces at Dat Talent Doe. It was a great opportunity to share our love for dance and to see the great talent that is set here in Vancouver.

Boogaloo Sam & Big Leaf: L.I.V.E. had an incredible turnout! It was beautiful to see so many dancers from different sides of the community come together and sharing their love for dance under the same roof. We are so happy with how the day went and really excited to be doing this again in the future. Big thank you to everyone who supported and came out to dance and share.

Culturally Defined staff performing at Main Event: High 5! The routine was influence by House and a South African dance called Pantsula. Our performance was based on freedom, experimentation and having fun.
Captivate

Culturally Defined got to perform alongside many great dancers and groups in the show CAPTIVATE presented by The Dance Initiative.
Boombeast
Locking Class

A really great class containing fundamental Locking training and ways to use movement from other styles and apply it to Locking. Great energy and great training.

Tal Iozef
Locking Class

We are very grateful that we had the opportunity to have Tal Iozef teach twice for us this year while he was in town. Teaching fundamental movement in Locking & Hip-Hop with his own personal flare, gave the students something more to really work with. Always a great time of learning while Tal is instructing his class or even outside of class.

Culturally Defined would like to thank Jr. Boogaloo for bringing his knowledge and incredible energy into our class. This was a class where we couldn't get enough and just wanted to keep going for hours. It was great to see everyone in the room just get down and show off their talents with Jr. Boogaloo.

Culturally Defined would like to thank Lil Tight Eyez for bringing his knowledge and skill of Krump dancing and helping it expand here in Vancouver. It was nice seeing everyone just get out of their comfort zone or get into their comfort zone and just dance.
